In Rwanda, a large proportion of the most vulnerable people are widows and orphans. As a result of poverty, the children are often unable to receive education by lack of school materials and frequently too high travel costs. Also, this group often cannot afford medical care. A lack of medical care can prevent children from completing their (primary) education. That is why this group needs support to strengthen their position within society.
